Corporate America has found itself in the midst of a shift in perspective, with open collaboration and human connection leading the way. WeWork, a company which provides it's clients with office spaces that are based on these principles, is a perfect metaphor for this change.
Each company that rents their space from WeWork has a designated private area, but also has access to multiple shared spaces. These include lounges, like above, conference rooms and a full kitchen area. The constant traffic around these open areas gives the entire floor an electricity to it: these people are making things happen, and enjoying their surroundings in the process.
With the tendency for choosing bohemian style designs, like University Park's (with the collaboration of GSC Architects and Roger's-Obrien Construction), WeWork has mastered the art of keeping employees happy and engaged in their work. You don't have to be a big company, either; renting a small room for you and your computer is also an option!
